We did the four-day Inca trail and highly recommend TreXperience.  They handled all the details including airport transfers, tours, hotel, hike, train from Macchu Picchu and care for our vegetarian diet.  They made it so easy and created a magical experience for us.  Guide Jose Luis and his assistant Sergio were excellent.  Their knowledge and passion of the area and history were beyond compare.  They made sure we were taken care of and even used detective skills to track down our lost iPhone which we got back!  Definitely book if you're on the fence!

Our group of 6 had the best time on the 2-day Inca Trail hike; I was the organiser and the communication with Trex’s office team was excellent throughout; the trek itself was extremely well organised and the food/ accommodation/transport was all brilliant; what made the trek so special - however - were our guides, Jason and Danilo, who kept us all laughing and were so knowledgeable and professional; I would recommend this trip to anyone, and especially those wanting a premium experience! Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu Tour 2 days - Carlos Fornaro x1

We had an amazing trip with TreXperience! Honestly there were so many elements they had to put together we are shocked with how perfectly everything went (from pick ups, bus and train rides, specialty food requirements etc.). The food was unbelievable- every meal was like an authentic Peruvian buffet, thanks to Esteban. My partner is mostly vegan and they were able to feed her similar, tasty foods aplenty! The Porters were fantastic and friendly and our guide David was so thoughtful, patient, fun, positive and due to his authentic Peruvian village background gave us so much intimate knowledge of the flow, culture, fauna and animals. He helped me with my Spanish learning and was so curious to improve his already good English. We did the 5 day original Inca trail, just the perfect amount of hiking and camping. We know feel like we have a fantastic understanding on Incan history and culture. Everyone made us feel like family, the team even baked us a cake to celebrate our 20th anniversary...on the trail! Equipment was of excellent quality, we were both warm and comfortable and their suggestions about what to pack made planning easy. HIGHLY RECOMMEND taking time for the full trek, it's more than worth it.

We had a fantastic time on the 2 day trek to Machu Picchu. The whole experience was so good. We found the trek quite challenging as there is a lot of uphill before lunch, I’m 63 and average fitness, and I was very grateful to our fantastic guide, Jaime, who encouraged us to keep going (and carried my rucksack for the hardest bit!). Lunch was delicious, especially the mango ceviche and the  guacamole and lovely to have freshly cooked food in such a lovely location.  Entering Machu Picchu by the Sun Gate was awesome, a great end to the trek. We stayed in a good hotel overnight with a hot shower, nicer than I’d expected, and dinner together in a restaurant with plenty of food choices which are both included in the price. The next day our guide was brilliant at showing us around and we had loads of time to see everything and take loads of photos. And then the train ride back to Ollantaytambo on the scenic train was beautiful. The whole experience was brilliant and so well organised, I would highly recommend choosing TreXperience. 

Short Inca Trail 2 Days to Machu Picchu - Sarah Bowen x2

This trip turned out to be all that I was expecting and Trexperience made this experience the most memorable experience ever.  All the planning was done for me. All transportation and ticketing was planned out and scheduled so professionally. I had a small group which made the whole day seem more personal. All this would not have been complete if it was not for our very experienced and educated tour guide Roberto!! This man answered all our questions and educated us so well about the history of this place and wonders of how the people used to live and how it was discovered. We were able to view all and experience this wonder to the fullest. I recommend this tour and if you can request Roberto and you will not be disappointed!! I would Give this trip and our amazing tour guide 10 Stars if I could.

Machu Picchu Day Trip from Cusco - Nicolas Varela x1

The Inca Trail trek with TreXperience was fantastic!  Our guied, Julio, was incredible.  Throughout the trek he shared the Inca heritage and history, as well as geological, botanical, and archaeological information.  Our porters, chef, waiters were equally awesome.  We were awoken every morning with a cup of Coca Tea and a bowl of warm and soap water to wash with.  Then a full and amazing breakfast before heading out for the day's trek.  

It wasn't long before the porters had everything packed up from camp and were passing us on the way to our lunch stop.  By the time we arrived, lunch was ready...and it was always a multi-course meal.  Then again, later in the afternoon, our porters would pass us and when we arrived at camp, the tents and dining hall was set up and preparations were underway for our tea and evening meal.  Everything was incredible!

I can't recommend TreXperience highly enough.  If you are looking for a great organization to take the Inca Trail trek to Machu Picchu with...go with TreXperience!

HUAYNA PICCHU TICKET ENTRANCE - Brownlee x2

Our family of three—my husband, our 10-year-old daughter, and I—recently visited Cusco with only a few days to explore, and booking with TreXperience was hands down the best decision we made.

From the very beginning, our representative Rosmel was incredibly helpful in planning the perfect itinerary for our family. He was responsive, attentive, and patient as we went back and forth several times to customize our schedule. His communication made the entire process seamless and stress-free.

Our first full-day private tour was packed with unforgettable experiences, including an alpaca farm, Pisaq Market, Pisaq archaeological site, Maras Salt Mines, Moray, and Ollantaytambo, along with a wonderful lunch stop at Don Angel. Our guide, Roger, was outstanding—professional, respectful, and incredibly knowledgeable. He thoroughly knew the history of the Incas and spoke perfect English, which made it easy for us to understand and truly learn throughout the day. He was also able to answer every single question my history-loving husband asked, which made the experience even more engaging for all of us. He brought each location to life and made the day both educational and enjoyable, especially for our daughter.

The second day was truly above and beyond anything we expected. We visited Palccoyo Mountain, which was the perfect alternative to Rainbow Mountain when traveling with a child. To our surprise, Roger and our driver Poole arrived with two cooks in tow! When we reached the mountain, they set up a beautifully arranged table overlooking the breathtaking scenery, complete with a tent kitchen.

We were served a fresh, hot breakfast with eggs, sausage, fruit salad, fresh-squeezed juice, and bread with jam—right in the mountains! After our hike, we returned to an incredible lunch spread that honestly rivaled a restaurant: pasta, salad, vegetables, garlic bread, pumpkin soup, fried rice, chicken, and beef. It was as delicious as it was impressive.

The level of care, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality from Roger, Poole, and the entire TreXperience team was unmatched.

I cannot recommend TreXperience enough—this is a must-do for your trip to Cusco. And if you can request Roger, absolutely do it. He made our experience unforgettable!

I don't give 5 stars because I was quite disappointed that I got to know the day before hiking Huaynapichu mountain that it was going to do it on my own and that it was quite steep. For someone that suffers from Vertigo, definitely was not a good idea. What I mean is that extra activities should be mentioned and explain at the moment of buying the experience, not after that... I end up loosing some money because of this.

Great experience with friendly, funny and knowledgeable guide Abellardo who provided detailed background on culture, history and nature. He had an authentic way with us as a group.
Big thanks to the cook Julio Caesar and his sous-chef who provided some of the best food we had on our trip, and all that on a hike!
Finally, hats off to the porters who are extremely tough and strong. Despite the hard physical work we could tell they have a tight and humorous community and rightfully take pride in their work!

I’ve traveled to 36 countries and done a lot of tours, and this was easily one of the best I’ve ever had. A huge part of that was our guide, Monica Calderon.

Monica was phenomenal -- super knowledgeable, kind, patient, and just really easy to be around. She has a way of explaining things that makes everything feel interesting and personal, not like a scripted tour. Honestly, it felt more like we were traveling with a friend or family member than a guide.

We did the private tour, and I’d definitely recommend it. Monica was able to adjust timing and pacing based on what we wanted, which made a big difference, especially for avoiding crowds. Getting to Machu Picchu early and experiencing it without the rush was a highlight.

Everything was really well organized, and almost all the details were handled for us. That made it easy to just be present, enjoy the views, spend time with family, and take it all in without stressing about logistics.

Belle expérience, super organisation, tout est bien cadré, le trek est un peu exigeant par endroits sans être insurmontable, mais l’effort en vaut la peine les paysages sont magnifiques.
Nos guides Daniel et Yovanni ont été supers, enthousiastes, prévenants et très généreux en explications et détails sur la culture quechua. L’arrivée par la porte du soleil est juste magique, un temps couvert avec quelques averses pendant le trek mais le soleil est miraculeusement apparu et nous avons bien pu profiter du site en fin de journée quasiment seuls.
La visite guidée du lendemain a été très intéressante, c’est fantastique d’avoir accès au Machu Picchu 2 jours de suite.
Un coup de chapeau au chef cuistot Sinshi et à son équipe (Mercedes et Ruben), qui ont fait des miracles en nous servant  un petit déjeuner très généreux avant le départ du trek et fait le chemin au pas de course pour nous proposer un succulent et très varié repas de midi.

Our 2-day Inca Trail hike to Machu Picchu with TreXperience was nothing short of extraordinary. From start to finish, everything was flawlessly organized and exceeded all expectations.

The online booking system and support team were fantastic. Communication was clear, prompt, and reassuring, ensuring we always knew exactly what to expect before the trek even began.

Our guide Daniel was simply exceptional. Fluent in Spanish and English—and even speaking some French—he is one of the most knowledgeable people we have met anywhere in the world. No question went unanswered. His passion for history, culture, and the trail itself made every step fascinating. Alongside him, Yovanny was equally brilliant. Together they made the journey engaging, safe, and incredibly memorable.

The trek itself is accessible for everyone. We never felt rushed and everyone was encouraged to walk at their own pace and comfort level. At all times we felt safe, supported, and well looked after.

The food deserves a special mention. Chef Sinchi, with the help of Mercedes and Ruben, prepared absolutely unbelievable breakfasts and lunches. Truly unbelievable—better than some restaurants! The fact that everything was freshly prepared on the Inca Trail made it even more impressive.

Our group was fantastic as well. We quickly became friends and shared plenty of laughs along the way, which made the experience even more special.

The hotel in Aguas Calientes was perfect and exactly what we needed after a big day of hiking.

I highly recommend TreXperience. I wouldn’t consider booking with anyone else. And if you’re lucky enough to have Daniel and Yovanny as your guides, congratulations—you’re about to have the experience of a lifetime.

We had a wonderful visit to the Amazon and stay at the Inkaterra ecotourism lodge

Inkaterra is in a National Reserve, a 20 minute boat trip from the Peruvian regional capital town of Puerto Maldonado down the wide Madre de Dios river. The lodge is completely in the rainforest, with most accommodation in cabins. It is fully catered with all meals provided. Rooms in the cabins have just basic amenities: water, toilets, shower, overhead fan, but very clean and comfortable. Power is not on at night or mid-afternoon.

The highlights of the trip are the guided tours of various locations nearby: Evening and afternoon jungle walks around trails near the lodge; a canoe trip around Lake Sandoval; climbing 40 metre towers and treetop rope and plank bridges high in the forest canopy; and morning canoe trips in a narrow winding lagoon near the lodge.
Our local guide, Dagaur was fantastic - born and raised in a native settlement, he knew all the plants, birds, animals and insects: their locations, habits, medicinal uses, etc. On every trip our guide was able to spot local fauna, point them out, help take photographs, etc.. The list of what we saw in the jungles was amazing: a 3-toed sloth high in the trees,  many caiman, agoutii, numerous birds and insects, plants such as giant ficus, cacao, and a "walking palm". Our guide was fluent in English and a trained eco-guide.

TreXperience recommended the trip and organized all the transportation to/from our starting accommodation in Cusco to arrival after the trip in Lima. The whole trip was far less expensive than expected.

TreXperience were great both before the trip (explaining options, making recommendations) online; then during the trip working with Inkaterra. Generally they use WhatsApp, as most folks seem to do in Peru, as it just requires Internet access, not a mobile phone access which can be expensive.

We had a wonderful visit to Machu Picchu. 

Our guides, Freddy and Sam were great. Provided local knowledge and insights (plants, birds; history) and were with us the whole day. We had two guides as Carolyn my wife went on Route 2 (the "classic" tour of the ruins); whereas I went on the Machu Picchu Mountain route 1a ( a strenuous 3 hr climb) for the views. The guides were fluent in English.

TreXperience organized all the transportation, which was a bit complex as we were staying in a rural house near Ollantaytambo, had our luggage with us as we were going to Cusco that evening after Machu Picchu..

I can't tell you how blown away I was with this company and all that they did to make our trip to Machu Picchu so effortless and enjoyable! Our tour guide Samuel provided amazing 2 day circuit tours and gave us so much history and answered all our questions. If you are looking for a guide who offers more than just a hike, Filio is your man. Our 4-day Lares trek was less of a typical tour and more of an authentic immersion into the Andean way of life.

Filio went above and beyond. He shared local insights that you won't find in an internet and taught us Quechua. One of the most unforgettable experiences was when he helped us bring supplies from a local market to a family living high in the mountains, it was an eye opening experience to see how people live in these remote areas.

Waking up next to alpacas and sheep, and crossing the 4,400m Condor Pass with glaciers towering overhead was amazing, and finally seeing Machu Picchu arrising from the fog.

Some places you visit, but with a guide like Filio, this is a trip you earn. I cannot recommend him enough!

Our Machu Picchu day trip was truly one of the greatest experiences we have ever had — a genuine once-in-a-lifetime experience that we will never forget.

TreXperience were outstanding from start to finish. The booking process was seamless and professional, and their email and message communications were clear, prompt, and reassuring. From the very beginning, we felt completely looked after and confident that everything was in good hands.

On the day itself, every member of staff we encountered was warm, organised, and incredibly kind. The entire journey — from the bus transfer to the train ride and finally arriving at Machu Picchu — was handled flawlessly. The train ride in particular was such a memorable part of the adventure, building anticipation as the scenery became more and more spectacular.

El hotel Ferre estuvo bien en general, aunque las cortinas tenían olor a humedad y el tacho del baño estaba lleno al momento de mi ingreso.

Como detalle, al reservar en la página indicaba que el tour estaba lleno y tuve que intentar varias veces; finalmente realicé el tour solo. También me comentaron que la habitación individual tenía un costo adicional de 30 dólares, pese a que era el único pasajero. Es un detalle menor, pero quería dejarlo como observación.

En general, muy buena experiencia, sin duda repetiría.

We absolutely loved this day trip! Our tour guide Elias was wonderful, he provided so much information and kept the tour to our pace (we got lucky and it was only my mom and me!!). Machu Picchu is awe inspiring but being led by the experienced guide made our day unforgettable. It was the best tour I’ve ever had!! I would recommend TreXperience to anyone wishing to have the same type of experience. 

The transportation was very well organized, our driver, Yovani, was great (safe, fast, and friendly).

Maras Moray and Machu Picchu Tour 2 Days - yinchen hsieh

Have not gone on the trip yet, but the travel planning people at TreXeperince have been amazingly helpful in planning our trip, making booking and flights within Peru. We are going down to the Amazon for a couple of nights, had some special plans for Machu Picchu, like climbing one of the peaks, pickup from a different location then Cusco. They accommodated it all, were very quick in replying, and prices are very reasonable.

I found TreXperience a really good company to book through. Our flights got was delayed by 5 hours arriving in Cusco at 11.20pm.  My messages were answered promptly and there was a driver waiting to transport us the 13/4 hour journey to Ollantaytambo. We arrived at 1.30am. The driver was very helpful carrying my back for the 10 minute walk to our accommodation. The company arranged a very late check-in with our accommodation and someone was there to let us in to the lodge and our room. I would throughly recommend booking through this company

Short Inca Trail 2 Days to Machu Picchu - Cristian Quinones

We had a great 3 days. On the go for the first day in Sacred Valley but well worth it. Great guide by Jason who was very knowledgeable and good English and made the learning very interesting. James was the driver and very experienced especially around the roads to Salt ponds. Second day took the train to Machu Picchu and then early start on day 3 for the tour around Machu Picchu. If you are considering the Machu Picchu mountain trek be aware that it is 600 mts vertical climbing steps constantly. You are above 2500 metres and the breathing becomes challenging. I would suggest doing circuit 2 which is wher you get great views of the ruins. Overall the 3 days were great with constant follow up by various people from Trexperience

Machu Picchu was brought alive by our expert Guide, Roberto. His knowledge of the history and culture of its inhabitants brought feeling and understanding to our tour.  His keen eye and photography experience helped us capture exquisite images of this scared place. He was everything we could hope for in a private Guide. Everything was memorable and wonderful.
